We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and profile details when you create an account, and any information you include when submitting an application or contacting us. If you register or sign in using Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account. We also collect technical and usage data automatically, such as IP address, browser and device information, and pages viewed, via cookies and analytics tools (see Section 5).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: operate your account and provide the Platform's features; process and forward applications to universities; send service-related notifications (such as application status updates); respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form; process payments for university subscriptions; and analyze and improve the Platform. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires it, we process personal data on the basis of: performance of a contract (providing the Platform and processing applications), your consent (such as for marketing communications or optional cookies), our legitimate interests (such as improving and securing the Platform), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Platform in aggregate. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some Platform features may not function properly without them.

When you submit an application, your relevant profile and application information is shared with the university you applied to. We share information with trusted service providers who support our operations, including our payment processor for handling university subscription billing, our email delivery provider for sending notifications, and analytics providers such as Google Analytics. These providers may only use your data to perform services on our behalf. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. University and Program Data

University and program information displayed on the Platform is sourced from publicly available university websites, automated data collection tools, and direct submissions by universities. This category of data is not personal data about you and is handled separately from the personal data described above.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform's services, and afterward only as necessary to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
