About Wuhan University

Wuhan University, established in 1893 as the Self-Strengthening School, was renamed National Wuhan University in 1928 and has a history of over a century. It is one of the first batch of national universities in modern China. In 2000, it merged with Wuhan Hydropower University, Wuhan Surveying and Mapping University, and Wuhan Medical University to form the new Wuhan University.
