The University of Jaffna is a higher education institution in Northern Sri Lanka. Its mission is to produce intellectually and professionally competent graduates and postgraduates, engage in research, innovation, and community engagement, with a special emphasis on the social, economic, and cultural needs of the region. In August 2026, it received international and Asia-Pacific level recognition. The Vice Chancellor has also visited the University of Cambridge and the National Institute of Siddha in India.
