The University of Ibadan was established in 1948 as the first university in Nigeria, and is now a comprehensive institution offering academic programs in seventeen faculties. Its mission is to expand the frontiers of knowledge through provision of excellent conditions for learning and research with a vision to be a world-class institution for academic excellence.
