About Université Senghor d'Alexandrie

The University of Senghor is a French-speaking institution dedicated to the development of Africa, founded in 1989 at the Dakar Summit. It aims to prepare competent, responsible, creative, and engaged leaders for sustainable development in Africa and Haiti. Since October 1990, it has been located in Alexandria, Egypt, named after Léopold Sédar Senghor, a significant figure in the Francophonie who promoted its identity worldwide. The university has been operating for over 35 years with a strong and transparent governance structure supporting academic excellence.
