Universidade Tiradentes (UNIT) is a private higher education institution founded in 1962 as Colégio Tiradentes in Aracaju/SE. Elevated to the status of a college in 1972 and university in 1994, UNIT belongs to the Grupo Tiradentes, one of the largest educational groups in the Northeast. Present in Sergipe, Pernambuco, Alagoas, and Bahia, UNIT has over 25,000 students in Sergipe, offering more than 50 face-to-face, semi-face-to-face, and EAD undergraduate programs, as well as specializations, MBAs, and master's and doctoral programs. The UNIT is recognized by the MEC (Ministry of Education). All its undergraduate programs are authorized and recognized, ensuring national validity to its diplomas.
