The University of Tourism (UTUR) was established in 2008 to address the demand for highly qualified human talent in the hospitality and eco-tourism industry, due to Costa Rica's rapid tourism development. The university conducts studies on tourist destination satisfaction and offers programs in Hotel Administration, Food and Beverage Management, Ecolodge Management, Gastronomy, Ecotourism, Technology, and Services. It also provides technical and professional workshops virtually.
