St. Joseph's College of Commerce is a Catholic college managed by the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, established in 1882 and granted autonomous status by UGC in 2005. The Department of Commerce was established in 1949, becoming an independent college in 1972. It has undergone four cycles of NAAC accreditation since 2000, achieving 'A++' grade and a CGPA of 3.57/4 in the latest cycle (February 2021). The college is ranked 55th in the NIRF ratings of the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2024.
