The Government of Gujarat established the Gujarat Agricultural University in 1969, which was later replaced by GAUs Act, No. 5 of 2004. The university is located at Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada. It offers 16 programs across 123 departments and has 24 research stations. SDAU focuses on education, research, and extension activities in agriculture.
