About Michael Okpara University of Agriculture
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike is a specialized university established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1992. It began formal activities in May 1993 with Professor Placid C. Njoku as the first Vice-Chancellor. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and CEC programs. In 2026, it gained global recognition in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings for the first time.
