Kishoreganj University was established in 2020 through the BSMRU-K Act. It is located approximately 8.9 km from Kishoreganj city towards Mithamoin road, and it will start its academic activity from the academic session 2021-2022 with four departments: Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics, English, and Accounting. The university plans to have a total of forty departments, five institutes, three centers, and eight Interdisciplinary Research Centers (IRCs) by 2030-2031.
