Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology dates back to 1893, evolving from a small school for revenue officers into a full-fledged college in 1906. It became the U.P. Institute of Agricultural Sciences in 1969 and was later merged to form the C.S. Azad University of Agriculture & Technology in 1975. The university offers education in agriculture, allied subjects, rural industry, and business.
