7-year program consisting of the first three years of medical school (M1-M3) followed by three years of graduate study (G1-G3) and the final year of medicine (M4). Students complete laboratory rotations with graduate faculty during M1-M3 years, select an area for graduate study during their M3 year, and maintain interaction with clinical faculty mentors during G1-G3 years.
Scholarship Available
Students accepted to the UMMC MD-PhD Program are fully financially supported for the duration of the dual degree program. Living allowance paid by School of Graduate Studies in the Health Sciences, tuition covered by Dean’s Scholarship (School of Graduate Studies in the Health Sciences) and Conerly Scholarship (School of Medicine)
