About this program

The Law School was established in 1963 as part of Fu Jen Catholic University. In 1974, it was divided into the Law Department and Judicial Department (later changed to Class A and Class B in 2010). In 1979, considering the global economic development, the Economic Law Department was established. Later in 1994, it was renamed as the Department of Economics and Law. In 2003, following the trend of law education development, the Departments of Law (Bachelor's, Master's, Master's Continuing Education Program, Ph.D.), Economic and Law, School of Graduate Studies were reorganized to establish the College of Law. In 2005, the postgraduate Law program was changed to daytime study and established the School of Postgraduate Law, and it became a part of the College of Law. In 2016, the College of Law established the first Master's Continuing Education Program for indigenous peoples’ economic and law. As such, the college can be said to have a complete learning system with strong community integration, making it a high-quality law professional school.
