About this program
Participants in the EMPA program must complete a one-year administrative studies program at Deutsche Hochschule für Verwaltungswissenschaften Speyer before starting the EMPA. After completing the second semester of the administrative studies program, an overseas stay at one of the partner universities is typically required, along with an administrative internship abroad. The time spent abroad extends the duration of the program by approximately one semester. Upon return to DHV Speyer, the examination phase begins with a six-week written master's thesis, followed by an oral exam.
