The Community Health Education major prepares students with the theory and skills of planning programs, designing and implementing interventions, conducting outreach and advocacy, and tackling the barriers to health equity.

The Community Health Education major is offered in two modalities. Students gain practical experience through a semester of fieldwork. Upon completing the degree program, students can sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam. The Community Health Education major prepares students for careers promoting health and well-being in non-profits, healthcare, public agencies, and community organizations.
